Monumento Marco Simoncelli

Coriano has not forgotten its rider. After the opening of the Museo Marco Simoncelli, the Monumento Marco Simoncelli “Ogni Domenica” followed. This is an art installation shaped like a motorcycle exhaust pipe that bursts into flame every Sunday at dusk, in memory of the rider from Coriano.

Good to know

  • The installation stands on a twenty-metre base, surrounded by a fenced green area.
  • The flame from the large exhaust pipe reaches 3 m and lasts 58 seconds.
  • In a short time the monument has become a gathering place for motorcyclists and a symbolic site of remembrance for Simoncelli.
  • The time of the flame changes according to the season.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
