Cycling

In Romagna the bicycle is part of the tradition and the way of life of a land where contact with nature and quality of life count for a great deal.
Towns get around by bike, and a growing network of cycle paths and cycling routes crosses the whole region, making it possible to go from the coast to the hills and then into the mountains, up to the Apennine passes, within a few kilometres. It is no accident that many great racing cyclists come from here.
In spring thousands of enthusiasts come to the Romagna coast to train, and it is easy to see why. The air is good, the food is good, and the routes can fill a whole day or just a few hours: from the fortresses and castles of Valconca to Valmarecchia; towards Ravenna, on a connoisseur’s tour of Byzantine treasures and the wild country inland; and finally through the villages and hills around Forlì and Cesena, where you can ride the route of the legendary Nove Colli, which breaks its own record for entries and popularity every year.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
