Faenza
Faenza lies along the via Emilia, the ancient Roman road that linked Rimini to Piacenza, at the foot of the Faenza Apennines. With an old centre full of palaces and villas, Faenza has a great deal to offer in architecture and culture: it holds several museums and the important Biblioteca Manfrediana.
Faenza is known throughout Italy for its hand-made ceramics, to which it has devoted both a museum and an international competition.
