Segavecchia is the carnival of Forlimpopoli. It is a very old festival, rooted in Celtic rites, that culminates in the sawing of the old woman, marking the passing of winter into spring as a good omen for the fertility of the land. Allegorical floats parade through the streets of Forlimpopoli, people celebrate outdoors, wear costumes and eat the typical food of Carnival.
