Forlimpopoli

Forlimpopoli lies along the via Emilia, the ancient Roman road that linked Rimini to Piacenza. Founded by the Romans in the second century BC, the town is also called the "Artusi town", after the food writer Pellegrino Artusi, who was born in Forlimpopoli in 1820. Out of the tradition Artusi left behind grew an important cookery school, along with the first centre for gastronomic culture devoted to Italian home cooking (Casa Artusi).
