Torre dell'Orologio

The Torre dell'Orologio is the tower of what was once the castle of Premilcuore in the 12th century. Originally built as the entrance gate to the castle (also known as Porta Fiorentina), it is 21 metres tall with a square floor plan, perfectly fitted within the small hill village. It was originally open on one side; it was later reworked several times, decorated in Florentine style in the mid-1800s and restored to bare stone in the early 1900s.

Good to know

  • In 1593 it was fitted with a single-handed clock, which works on a gravity system through a stone attached to a rope.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
