I Murales dell'800
The 19th century was a golden age for Saludecio in cultural terms. That is why its centre is covered with murals depicting the styles and themes of that period. There are around 40 murals, each linked to a discovery from that era. They range from illustrations of speeding trains to Pulcinella baking a pizza, from sensual women posing (marking the invention of the suspender belt) to a depiction of the birth of cinema, ending with simple scenes of everyday life and work.
Good to know
- The mural tradition began in 1991. Since then, a new work has been added every year during the 800 Festival.
- The works are painted by artists from the Associazione Arpec.
- Saludecio is a member of the Associazione Italiana dei Paesi Dipinti.
