Museo delle Arti Rurali

The Museo delle Arti Rurali in Sant'Agata Feltria preserves original evidence of peasant life, rural arts and crafts, and many everyday activities from this area. Visitors move from the carpenter's workshop to the cobbler's room, then on to the cinema, the hospital and the tavern; there are also collections of musical instruments, clocks and weighing instruments.

Good to know

• The museum hosts an exhibition of sacred art dedicated to Padre Marella, a well-known figure in Sant'Agata Feltria.
• The museum also features the Percorso dei presepi, a collection of nativity displays (an old Lombard nativity scene, an exhibition of Tyrolean nativity scenes and dioramas, and a mechanical nativity scene set in Sant'Agata Feltria).
• The museum is housed in the sixteenth-century Convento di San Girolamo, a building with very interesting architectural features, such as the cloister onto which the kitchen rooms, the chapter room and the reading rooms open.
