Places to see

Foro Romano

In the northern part of Piazza Tito Maccio Plauto, a gallery leads to a small archaeological site with paving slabs from the Foro Romano and the remains of buildings dating from the 1st century BC. In the upper section you can see a small window set into the wall, suggesting that the forum was originally laid out in tiers; elsewhere the mouth of a Late Antique kiln can be glimpsed.

Good to know

  • Another kiln, dating from the Roman period, is found between via Silvani and via Linea Gotica.
  • Based on the finds recovered during the excavation, it is thought that this may have been the site of the public and religious offices of Sarsina.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
