Museo l'Uomo e il Gesso

The Museo l’Uomo e il Gesso is housed in the Rocca Manfrediana in Brisighella. The exhibition follows a route that traces the relationship between people and the gypsum caves, starting in the protohistoric period when they were used for religious rites and funerary cults. In later periods, Roman and Renaissance, the caves were used for extraction. On display today are finds recovered from the Grotta dei Banditi (prehistoric/protohistoric), from the Roman house of Carnè at the Castello di Rontana (medieval period) and from other sites in the area.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
