Brisighella
Brisighella is a thirteenth-century hill village and the most important stronghold of the Lamone valley. It lies in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, inside the Vena del Gesso regional park, and belongs to the Comunità montana Appennino Faentino; it has 106 natural caves and 130 km of walking trails. Brisighella is one of the Borghi più belli d’Italia, and its Via degli Asini is one of the most distinctive corners of any Apennine village. Brisighella is known for producing dop olive oil and Sangiovese di Romagna, also a controlled designation of origin wine.
