Fornaci Romane di Ca’ Turchi
Just outside the old town, a little over 4 km from the Porto Leonardesco, in the countryside around Cesenatico, the remains of the Fornace Romana Ca’ Turchi can be found. It was a very extensive settlement, perhaps a rustic villa with two kilns, evidence that some form of production took place alongside the house (thought to have been statues, given the remains found). Today what remains is a structure with a central corridor and sections of dividing walls.
Good to know
- A large collection of objects documenting the Roman history of Cesenatico is kept at the Antiquarium Comunale, next to the Museo della Marineria.
