Castello Malatestiano di Longiano

The Castello Malatestiano is an early medieval fortress built to defend the hill village of Longiano. Its existence predates the fierce struggle that took place between the Malatesta and  Montefeltro families in the 15th century. Around the year 1000, in fact, this defensive structure already existed, serving Rimini to protect the village from attacks by Cesena. At the far end of Piazza Malatesta a gate opens onto the inner courtyard of the Castello, a small square with a panoramic balcony and a 16th-century Venetian fountain. The same area is overlooked by a stately residence that houses the Fondazione Tito Balestra.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
