Maiolo

Maiolo is a village of the upper Valmarecchia that stands out in the valley for its Maioletto fortress. The story of this village is unusual: the present settlement grew up in the place called "Serra", near the old village, which was destroyed by a natural disaster in 1700. Mysteries and legends have grown around the event: there is talk of a flood that lasted 40 hours and of divine punishment for the wild dances held in the village fortress. Today Maiolo is a beautiful village of farmhouses and distinctive little squares, looking out over the Montefeltro. From here the view stretches across Monte Fumaiolo, the Alpe della Luna, San Leo, Monte Carpegna and San Marino.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
