Museo di Ecologia - Centro Visite Mirco Bravaccini

The Museo di Ecologia e Centro Visite Mirco Bravaccini is a relatively young institution (opened in 2003), although it is housed in a 16th-century building in the town of Meldola. The museum hosts both permanent exhibits and temporary exhibitions, and also organises various educational activities and conferences on environmental themes. The permanent exhibition is arranged in 3 trails: Italy and its forests, Romagna and the woodland, Scardavilla and its trees.

Good to know

  • The museum is housed in the Chiesa della Madonna del Sasso, deconsecrated in the first half of the 19th century.
  • The animal specimens on display in the museum are mostly the result of donations, having died of natural causes, or were found following incidents of poaching, poisoning, road accidents and so on.
  • Up-to-date information on activities is available on the official website of the Museo di Ecologia e Centro Visite Mirco Bravaccini: www.museodiecologia.it/Museo_di_Ecologia-1.html.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
