Mostra Museo delle maioliche mondainesi

Mondaino has a rich and varied tradition of maiolica pottery, dating back many centuries. Excavation and building work, especially around the walls of the Rocca Malatestiana, has uncovered many painted fragments dating from the 14th to the 17th century. Alongside the finds on display, the exhibition explains the function of the objects, how they were made and the life that surrounded them.

Good to know

  • The exhibition space includes a reconstructed potter's workshop and a laid table.
  • The permanent exhibition is regarded as a maiolica museum.
  • The same ticket also gives access to the Museo Paleontologico and the Torre Portaia.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
