Teatro Dante Alighieri

The Teatro Dante Alighieri in Ravenna was built from 1840 with the aim of regenerating the area around Piazza Garibaldi. Opened in 1852, the Teatro Dante Alighieri was regarded from the outset as one of the finest in Italy, both for its acoustics and for the quality of its fittings.
Many artists have performed here, names of the calibre of Maria Callas and Gabriele D'Annunzio.
Numerous Ravenna Festival events are held in this theatre.
