Funivia di San Marino
The Funivia connects the city of San Marino to the Borgo Maggiore station. Popular with tourists, the cable car first opened in 1959 after 3 years of construction work. It was closed to the public for a period, but in 1996, following modernisation, it reopened with a double-cable haulage system. One curiosity: the first cable car journey was made by the statue of Our Lady of Fátima.
