Verghereto
Verghereto lies in the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines, across a very large area of 117 square kilometres, enough to border three regions: Tuscany, the Marche and Emilia-Romagna.
The area is marked by its unspoilt countryside and by its closeness to Monte Fumaiolo, to the source of the Tiber and to the well known Balze di Verghereto, a hamlet of the town. Romagnol though it is, the cooking of Verghereto owes a great deal to the flavours and produce usually found on Tuscan tables.
