Chiesa Collegiata San Martino
The Chiesa Collegiata di San Martino in Verucchio is considered the cathedral of the Media Valmarecchia. Its interior is richly decorated, combining Baroque and Renaissance style with gilded stucco and several altarpieces. Particularly admired are the altarpiece behind the high altar, depicting Saint Martin offering his cloak to a beggar, and two wooden crucifixes, one from the fourteenth-century Rimini school and the other from the Venetian school. Outside the church lies a striking open space, with views over the valley, used in summer as the venue for the Verucchio Music Festival concerts.
