Pinacoteca comunale di Faenza

Open to the public since 1879, it originally held drawings by Giuseppe Zauli and works removed from the churches and convents of Faenza suppressed under Napoleonic law; other collections were added later.

Founded in 1797, the Pinacoteca has been open to the public since 1879. It originally held drawings by the local artist Giuseppe Zauli and works removed from the churches and convents of Faenza suppressed under Napoleonic law; other collections were added later.
Two sections are currently open to visitors: the Galleria di Arte Moderna and the Sezione Antica.
The Sezione Antica holds Roman remains, mosaics, sculptures, tombstones and early medieval inscriptions, and paintings and sculptures dating from the 13th to the 17th century, including a Donatello and a Palmezzano.
The Galleria di Arte Moderna holds 19th and 20th-century works, mostly from donations. The Pinacoteca comunale di Faenza is the town’s oldest museum.

Accessibility statement

Romagna.net should be usable by anyone, with any tool: keyboard, screen reader, magnification, phone. This page says where we actually stand, without rounding up.

Conformance status

The site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. Conformance is partial: the checks made so far cover the code and the colours, and they do not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology. Known limits are listed below.

Reporting a problem

If a page will not let you do what you came for, write to info@romagna.net. Tell us the address of the page, what you were doing and which tool you use: a few lines are enough to show us where to look.

How this statement was prepared

Self-assessment by the people who build the site, last updated on 1 September 2026. This is not the statement that the Italian AgID guidelines require of public bodies, which Romagna.net is not: it is a commitment we make anyway.
