Museo Carlo Zauli

The Museo Carlo Zauli stands in the old town of Faenza, in what were once the stables of the convent of San Francesco. From 1949 onwards, the local artist Carlo Zauli turned this space into an artistic workshop and studio.

The Museo Carlo Zauli stands in the old town of Faenza, in what were once the stables of the convent of San Francesco. From 1949 onwards, the local artist Carlo Zauli turned this space into an artistic workshop and studio, shaping his vision of it as a cultural venue.
Today it houses two permanent collections: one dedicated to Carlo Zauli, the other made up of works by various contemporary artists.

  • Carlo Zauli was an artist from Faenza (1926-2002): sculptor, ceramicist and teacher. A master of international renown, he produced a frieze for the Royal Palace of Baghdad.
