Borgo di San Savino

The name Castello di San Savino refers to an entire fortified hamlet, set on the scenic road linking Montescudo Monte Colombo to Coriano. The Borgo di San Savino  has several features of note: its fine gateway and tower (the lower part 16th-century, the upper part 18th-century), its façade and corner towers, the adjoining Fattoria del Piccione farm, whose cellars were built into the moat along the southern side of the walls, and finally the landscape that surrounds it.
